  • Hosted live by Russ Simon, Executive Director, Maxwell Leadership
  • Catered lunch and leadership Q&A panel
  • Silicon Slopes HQ, free on-site parking

Most leadership events send you home with scattered notes.

You sit through great talks. You write things down. On Monday the business needs you, and the notes stay in the bag.

The talk was never the hard part. Turning it into something your team does is.

This day is built around that second part.

What a video can’t give you

The talks are the starting point. The day is what you do with them.

A YouTube video

  • Talks made for a general audience
  • You watch alone
  • Notes you will not reopen
  • Nobody to test your ideas on
  • Lunch is on you

Live2Lead at Silicon Slopes

  • New talks recorded for Live2Lead, filmed October 2
  • You debrief with other leaders between talks
  • A written plan before you leave
  • A room of founders, executives, and leaders
  • Catered lunch and a leadership Q&A panel

The format

  1. Watch.A talk plays on screen.
  2. Debrief.A short facilitated discussion at your table.
  3. Apply.A facilitated activity turns the talk into a decision for your business.
  4. Plan. The last half hour is spent building your plan.

Russ hosts live and curates the application activities.

Your plan is built from your answers.

Before the event, you answer three short questions: what you most want to gain, your top leadership challenge, and who you most want to meet.

Your answers place you in a breakout group with the right people. They also feed your personal action plan, built from what you told us and from the day’s facilitated sessions.

You answer once. Your plan is drafted for you.

Your answers form your group and shape your plan. How your information is handled.

  1. 1Answer 3 questions
  2. 2Meet your group
  3. 3Get your plan

What past attendees say

John C. Maxwell on stage at a past Live2Lead
“Attending Live2Lead didn’t just inspire me—it realigned me. It reminded me of the kind of leader I want to be and gave me the clarity and courage to take action. I walked away with more than just notes. I left with a renewed vision for how I lead, serve, and grow.”
ROB HEROLD
A packed auditorium at a past Live2Lead
“I first attended Live2Lead at the onset of starting my business. I was scared, intimidated, and filled with doubt. But that year, Live2Lead ignited the “why” in me—it gave me the faith to believe, the courage to start, and the clarity to lead with purpose. It didn’t just launch my business - it launched me as a leader.”

Russell Simon will change how you lead forever. A natural teacher and powerful speaker. His empowering approach gives those he leads and teaches the tools to excel in their own leadership. Under his guidance you will increase your capacity to lead and inspire others - seeing situations from a different perspective, utilizing the skills he so adeptly teaches and helps you put into practice as you grow your leadership and your leadership team.

Kathy WorthenGoogle review

We initially brought in Russ Simon for a couple of leadership training sessions for our key employees, and it quickly became clear that his impact was too valuable to be limited to just a few meetings. As a result, we’ve decided to implement his leadership training program on a more permanent basis.

Russ is an extremely talented leader and mentor. His vast life experience, deep knowledge, and ability to recall and teach with clarity set him apart. He has an incredible memory and a remarkable way of connecting ideas, making his lessons both practical and memorable. His insights have been instrumental in helping our team grow as leaders, and his approach has resonated deeply with our employees.

If you’re looking for someone who can truly elevate your team’s leadership skills, I highly recommend Russ Simon. His training is not just informative—it’s transformative.

Darren KirkhamGoogle review

Russ masterfully blends his extensive knowledge with an astounding knack for understanding people creating a learning experience that is not only educational but impactful on the lives of those he works with. From my first experience with Russ, I was immediately impressed by his remarkable ability to give every ounce of his attention to whoever he is with. His genuine interest in whatever is being said is both connecting and validating. All of these skills culminate in an experience that is safe for all learning levels, immersive, and actually applicable to real-life scenarios. My teams beg to have him back and that is a request I’m happy to oblige!

Questions owners ask

Is this live or recorded?
Both, and we say which is which. The five keynotes were filmed October 2 and play on screen. Russ Simon hosts the day live. The opening keynote, the application activities between talks, the lunch Q&A panel, and the closing planning session all happen in the room.
How is this different from watching these speakers online?
The talks are new content recorded for Live2Lead. The room is the rest of the product: facilitated debriefs between talks, a room of founders, executives, and leaders to test your ideas on, a catered lunch table, and a written plan before you leave. A video can’t do those things.
Who is this for?
Business owners, founders, and executives who lead people and want a day that turns ideas into decisions.
What exactly is in each pass? Is lunch included?
Yes, lunch is included in both in-person passes. The Climb Higher Pass ($199) covers the full day, five keynotes plus a bonus talk, facilitated debriefs and application activities, the official Live2Lead printed guidebook, a dedicated workspace with power access (Rows 3 and 4), catered lunch with a leadership Q&A panel, and on-demand replay of the 2026 talks from November 5 to 10. The Summit Pass ($299) adds priority seating in Rows 1 and 2 and the 2025 Live2Lead encore on demand, November 5 to 10.
